Shellac is more of a resin than a dye. It comes in the form of flakes which you then mix with methylated spirits. You put it onto your work in liquid form (it's quite thick) and then when it dries it looks like this varnish (kind of). Great for vintagey projects :P

I would love to get mine mixed up and to be able to use it. But since GS Blake visited last I have been unable to locate it. Lucky it wasn't too expensive I have been holding off getting another pack in the hope that it will turn up :roll: Might have to ban my boy's from my patch :lol:

LOL I know that feeling!! I've had a couple of things go missing recently and I KNOW Miss Krystal has borrowed them but she can't remember borrowing them :oops:

However she can remember borrowing my Black embossing powder!!! Look what she did to it!!!

Yay I found my Shellac!! :) :)
Having a tidy up today and um... it must have fallen off the shelf and in to a wee bag that has pockets around the side.
