Mid November Motivation

Postby EstherNZ on Sat Nov 14, 2009 4:35 pm

A double-deal this month! An off the page project and a layout sketch!
Firstly – the off the page project, just for fun.
I received a link through somebody’s blog to make a small paper watering can. It looked like an easy and cute wee thing to make – so I did!

Image

This is the tutorial for it on Splitcoast Stampers and within that post is a link (in blue) to the PDF file that is the pattern you will need to cut out your parts.

I can’t wait to see how you decorate yours! If you need some ideas on decoration why not check out the SCS gallery for this project: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=18293

Secondly – A layout sketch.
I was thinking that it could be used to do a layout that is garden themed to go with the watering can.

Possible ideas to run with:
Your garden
Someone else's garden
City/Town/Botanical Garden
Children Playing in garden
Making of Watering Can
Lack of Garden
Planting of Garden ........

The possibilities just go on and on.

As an added bonus, if you upload one of each project before midnight on Friday 4th December, you will go into the draw for a wee prize from me.
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila and salt and call me over!!!

This is a fabulous challenge Esther! I've done my watering can and put it into the gallery... now for the layout!

I've got an 8x8 Maya Rd chipboard folder here that I bought at SENZ 07 and done nothing with  ... but I think I might make a mini album dedicated to my gardening in it... this might be just the inspiration I need to get it started! :P

It is good to be home at last after being away for 2 weeks. I have put my watering can in the gallery. I must admit this sort of thing is not really up my alley. But gave it a go and wow it is too cute if I say so myself. Thanks heaps Esther you Rock :!: Now to see if I can find something pretty in my yard to do the sketch L/o.. :)
